The illustrator and courtroom artist Martin Burkhardt, from Mannheim, Germany, is in fact happier with a pencil in his hand rather than a camera. He had never cooked pelemeni (the Russian equivalent of Swabian maultasche, Italian tortellini and Chinese wantan) before, so he was all the more satisfied with the outcome and promptly took a photo of it for our competition.
